The most outstanding chess players in the country will be able to compete for one of the 12 places to represent us in international events, thanks to the fact that the private company Kallpa Securities SAB has promised to be the official sponsor of this sport.
The event will take place from February 22 to 26 at the facilities of the Videna Sports Center No. 3, which will summon athletes from categories 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18, this being the start of the sports calendar of the Peruvian Sports Chess Federation (FDPA).
A few weeks ago, more than 700 Peruvian chess players were in uncertainty, because there were no private companies that wanted to bet on them. However, Kallpa SAB decided to undertake the aid by signing the sponsorship agreement.
“We are very happy to be official sponsors of the Peruvian Chess Federation and to support them in all the events that are going to take place this year,” said Alberto Arispe, general manager of Kallpa Securities SAB, who was accompanied by Azumi Bravo Mallco, champion. school world championship, and Diana Reyes, administrator of the Peruvian Chess Sports Federation.
Likewise, Arispe commented that it is very likely that they will continue with the support for the following years and asked that more companies can contribute to move the national sport forward.
“We do our bit to promote chess by being the sponsors throughout 2023 and we invite companies to promote the national sport and sponsor the different disciplines,” he specified.
The businessman said that Kallpa Securities SAB opted for chess “because they are experts in making decisions based on a strategy and that is a reflection of the investments, a business that we carry out at Kallpa SAB.”
For her part, the young chess player Azumi indicated that she is very happy with the federation and the private company for continuing to support her in order to achieve her goals.
She, 16 years old, is clear that the preparation and support of her teachers, family, and the Kallpa company will be important to stand out in each international competition.
