The International Automobile Federation (FIA) organizer of the F1 World Championshippresented the official list of registered drivers for 2025, which is based on the information provided by the teams themselves.
Sergio Perez appears as a driver for the Red Bull Racing team despite rumors that indicate that he will lose his place in the Milton Keynes team, where he has raced since 2021. Checo closed 2024 with a retirement in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and finished in eighth drivers championship site.
While both Verstappen and Pérez are still registered as Red Bull drivers for 2025, it should be noted that the entry list is provisional and subject to change before the season opener in the Australian Grand Prix in March 2025. The list of 20 drivers was probably put together using driver contracts that are currently valid until 2025, which would explain why the Mexican rider is on the list, as he currently has a contract with Red Bull until 2026.
Franco Colapinto, who was a Williams driver in the last few races, does not appear on the list, although it is likely that he will get a place in Alpine.
Lewis Hamilton will wear his traditional number 44 with Ferrari and Andrea Kimi Antonelli comes out with Mercedes-Benz. Carlos Sainz already appears with Williams after leaving Ferrari.
Among the changes observed, the Red Bull junior team (Visa Cash App RB) appears for 2025 as Racing Bulls. He changed his name for the second consecutive year on the official registration list. Driver Yuki Tsunoda is confirmed in this team and his teammate is yet to be confirmed.
Racing Bulls is the team’s fifth name and fourth since Red Bull bought its original entry, Minardi, in 2005. They originally renamed it Toro Rosso and then renamed it AlphaTauri in 2020.
