On the 19th day of the campaign, 11 candidates for the Presidency of the Republic participated in public events in several cities across the country. Candidates used social media to publicize their proposals, but also took to the streets, talking to people and making speeches this Saturday.
Ciro Gomes, from PDT, participated in a walk in Serra, Espírito Santo. At the event, he highlighted the importance of creating solutions for informal work in the country and for social security and retirement coverage for workers without a formal contract. “Today, 50 million Brazilians are living off the hook. Do you know what this is? It’s 70 (hours), 50 hours of work when the law says to work 44 (hours). It is a working week without a paid day off to go to the temple to pray or to church to pray. MDB candidate Simone Tebet visited Usina da Paz, in Cabanagem, on the outskirts of Belém, and praised the work done there, stressing that the initiative should be replicated across the country. She also reinforced that she intends to create the National Ministry of Public Security. “It is also necessary to do your homework and act in prevention. The Usinas da Paz project is an example of this type of policy that works. , leisure and citizenship”.
