Kevin Bocanegra, a young lawyer and 25 -year -old passionate mountaineer, lost his life tragically on December 31, 2024 while climbing the snowy of Tolima. During the expedition, his girlfriend, Jois Ramírez, and his mother -in -law, Julieth Ordóñez.
Unfortunately, Kevin suffered a pulmonary edema caused by high evil, which led to his death.
Amid pain for this loss and criticisms arising on social networks, Jois has found a way to honor Kevin’s memory: share the moments and memories of his love story, keeping his legacy alive.
In a recent publication in his social networks, Ramírez narrated an emotional memory of his visit to the Tayrona National Park, a place that he described as Bocanegra’s favorite.
It was during that trip, in October 2024, that the couple began dreaming about their future together, including an intimate and spiritual wedding.
A dream built between laughs and the sea
Jois Ramírez recalled that this visit to Tayrona was special for many reasons. “He taught me to connect with the sea, to enjoy every space of that park and see it through his eyes,” he shared.
Between laughs and moments of deep connection, both began to plan their wedding. They wanted an intimate ceremony, in an environment that represented his love for nature.
The plan included a strategic date for Kevin’s sisters and nieces to attend, taking advantage of school holidays. Jois described how he imagined his wedding dress: «Something simple, with lace«, While Kevin would opt for a white linen attire.
They also decided that a shaman would perform the spiritual ceremony and a judge, a friend of Kevin’s father, would formalize the legal union.
“A pact forever”
Jois’s publication also included a reflection on the importance of that moment. «That day we planned everything that would be our future wedding.
This is how we understood that we had a pact that would be forever, ”he said. In his words, that commitment represented the decision to choose the other as a life partner.
However, the dream of a life together was truncated by the tragic accident in the Nevado del Tolima. Kevin’s loss left an immense vacuum in Jois’s life, who has faced criticism for his activity in social networks after tragedy.
Despite this, she has chosen to share memories of her relationship, seeking to honor her partner’s memory.
The support of his mother -in -law and the fight to overcome the pain
Julieth Ordonez, Jois’s mother, has also spoken about what happened, defending her daughter and telling the difficult experience lived during the excursion.
In a video shared on social networks, Ordonez narrated how he faced his own fears to save his daughter after Kevin’s death. “I had to get strength from where only moms do it,” he said.
