The Deputy Secretary General of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Charlie Nunezsaid that members of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM)have never recognized the positive things of the PLD governments.
He explained that, on the contrary, they have always been harsh critics of the purple efforts, using large sums of money and powerful allies, to convince a large part of the country that the PLD members are all thieves.
“Without acknowledging any merit to their predecessors, with promises of change and an attitude of imprisoning everything that smacked of the PLD, the Perremeistas came to power,” said the also member of the central committee of the opposition party.
He questioned President Luis Abinader if he has wondered what was the health system that his party left behind and if it is similar to the one he found? According to Núñez, the only thing the current government did was buy vaccines that today “we must eat with cassava.”
“I’m sorry Mr. President, in terms of health we are detained or regressing, thank the PLD for what was found,” he said.
He stated that they have allowed the road assistance system to deteriorate and with the disappearance of the Social Plan they have dismantled all plans to help the population.
In another order, Núñez stressed that “seeing the Minister of the Presidency say that we will use means of transport created in past efforts to face a possible fuel crisis is because they were visionary decisions.”
“I do not want to continue point by point or as broad as if it were an anti-accountability, because I would have to write many pages like the ones the president read, but I do not want to stop giving special mention to the management of agricultural production that he maintained price stability without having to force and invent; ask Mr. President how they did it. And the work that allows Luis, his government, businessmen and the entire population to sleep well and peacefully? I am referring to the Punta Catalina thermoelectric plant. Can you imagine that we Dominicans depend on what the government of Danilo Medina found in power generation with the current oil prices and the uncertainty that the world is experiencing? The country in general should thank against all odds for having built Punta Catalina”, concluded the PLD leader.
