Santo Domingo.- The general secretary of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), attributed the transparency promoted by the current government to a marketing strategy, a manifestation of “pure marketing”.

He considered it painful that the President of the Republic has to instruct compliance with the Law, because laws are made to be published and naturally, complied with.
Mariotti reiterated what he expressed the day before, warning that, in the statement issued by the Attorney General’s Office, in which notable threats to freedom of expression are made, he confirms the government’s intention to restrict this fundamental right.
He considers it a contradiction that at a time when the government is talking about difficult issues such as the reforms they suggest, a statement is issued warning journalists that they are being paid with illicit money.

Mariotti warns that the publication of the PGR is based on bitterness and anger, which is not advisable in the conduct of the Public Ministry, where emotional intelligence must predominate.
