The debate between Andrade and Manini Ríos, which is organized by the Cardinal TV signal, would initially be broadcast on Channel 5, however the director of public media, Gerardo Sotelo, changed his mind and decided not to broadcast it to “keep the equanimity of the public channel”.
After learning of Sotelo’s decision, Andrade said that “in just twenty-four hours there was an unusual change of criteria.”

After Channel 5’s decision was made known, TV-Ciudad’s decision to broadcast the debate live on Tuesday 22nd at 9:00 p.m. was made known.
