The different sectors of the Frente de Todos (FdT) agree that the arrival of Sergio Massa at the Palacio de Hacienda implied a “change of air” for the coalition, whose leadership is focused on managing economic priorities while leaving in a second plane the internal debate, while observing how the fights escalate in Together for Change.
The spirit that reigns in the FdT is different from that of the last days of July, and this recovery of expectation led more than one in the corridors of the Casa Rosada to remember when, almost alone, the San Luis governor Alberto Rodríguez Saá began in 2018 to say “there is 2019”.
It was a slogan that later spread until it became an electoral slogan, but at first it had to face the skepticism of the majority of the PJ leaders, who argued that the re-election of Mauricio Macri, then president, was almost a done.
“The truce in the internal ones and that the Front has not been broken allows us to continue working on the public policies that the people need immediately,” they point out from the surroundings of the new Minister of Economy
Just like at that time, in the last few weeks the FdT began to regain confidence in that despite the rise in prices and the economic problems, it will be able to be competitive in the 2023 presidential elections and that it is even possible to win the elections: the pessimistic clouds, in this way, began to move away from the Casa Rosada.
With a view to 2023, the different spaces of the coalition designed complementary strategies that do not converge in a specific presidential candidate, but in a common point: the priority goes through management, so that the potential improvements in the numbers of the macroeconomy are transformed as soon as possible into verifiable data for people.
Thus, controlling inflation and accumulating reserves are two objectives that cannot be postponed.
This new approach has its support in the recovery of the dialogue between the main referents of the FdT, in particular President Alberto Fernández and Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, based on a series of agreements reached in private meetings to which he also joined, on some occasion, the former head of the Chamber of Deputies and today in charge of the Palacio de Hacienda.
“The truce in the internal and that the Front has not been broken allows us to continue working on the public policies that the people need immediately,” they point out from the environment of the new minister, who in the last week shared acts with the President, the Buenos Aires governor, Axel Kicillof and the Minister of the Interior, Eduardo ‘Wado’ de Pedro.
“Management, management and more management. That is the mission now”admit those renowned leaders of both the Renovating Front (FR) and the Justicialist Party (PJ) who are delaying their party congresses to avoid possible crosses and lose focus on the objective: stop inflation, strengthen themselves in the face of threats from the sectors that stealthily promoted a bullfight , calm the ups and downs of the economy.

To such an extent is the obsession with seeking agreements with the productive sectors and applying measures that have a positive effect to change the popular mood that the congresses in favor of the national PJ and the FR, planned months ago, were delayed and have no scheduled date for their realization.
From the ranks of massismo they agree on the same phrase: “There is no date yet”, despite the fact that the meeting was planned for the month of June in Mar del Plata, and that it was postponed due to the different circumstances that the FdT experienced.
The only one that advanced on a possible date to hold an internal meeting is the PJ of the province of Buenos Aires, led by the deputy Maximo Kirchnersince it would meet next Saturday the 27th, although from the environment of the leader of Buenos Aires Justicialism they maintain that “there is still no date”.
next to the minister Peter’s and the head of the Ministry of Development of the Buenos Aires Community, Andres ‘Crow’ LarroqueMáximo Kirchner visited this Friday the Buenos Aires municipality of Ensenada, whose mayor mario secco must face an oral and public trial, so this tour was read as a support for a strong leader of Kirchnerism.
At that point, the FdT closed ranks in support of the Vice President and its judicial situation in the context of the trial that investigates the possible allocation of resources from the road works in the province of Santa Cruz from 2003 to 2015.
In this context, but without the explicit endorsement of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner herself, various sectors of the ruling party and Kirchnerists self-convened by social networks were concentrated in large numbers in the Parque Centenario to demand “a democratization of the Judicial Power” and for “the resignation” of the members of the Supreme Court of Justice.
Other march in support of the Government and against the speculative businessmen that prices rise and a process of high inflation continues, is expected for next Wednesday, August 17.
It will be headed by the CGT, as confirmed by Pablo Moyano, the truck driver unionist and triumvir of the labor union, who broke the mold and did not hesitate to speak about electoral expectations in this context.
“The opposition showed that they are unpresentable. Beyond the mistakes the government makes, if Sergio (Massa) can control the case of inflation, these guys don’t come back anymore, because they don’t know how to govern,” he said this week in statements to Télam Radio.
Another piece of good news for the FdT is that, ten days after Massa’s assumption of the economic portfolio, The few sectors that opposed and raised their voices threatening to leave the coalition, as was the case of the Great Fatherland Front led by Juan Grabois, have not left and continue to debate their future.

In this regard, one of the deputies of that space, Natalia Zaracho, stated: “We are part of the Frente de Todos because it does not matter to us that the right governs.”
“There are already too many sectors that represent businessmen, we need more people to represent the poor. We want the Front of All to fulfill its electoral commitment and that the last in line win,” added the deputy days ago on AM 750 radio.
Unlike the convulsion of the previous weeks, the national PJ, chaired by Alberto Fernández, dedicated this Saturday a relaxed message from its networks to the memory of the artist Hugo del Carril, who immortalized the mythical Peronist march with his voice, on the 33rd anniversary years of his death.
