It was learned that the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT), through Official Gazette number 42,651, dated June 15 of this year, becomes an attached entity of the Ministry of People’s Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP).
With this change, the powers related to land transport are maintained, such as the National Registry of Vehicles and Drivers. In addition, the control and supervision of stops and land terminals; signaling and demarcation of national highways, and road education for citizens, in order to reduce accident rates in the country.
It is important to highlight that, in the current Land Transportation Law, in article 23, it expresses the powers and competences of the entity, with emphasis on road safety in the country, work that is carried out jointly with the Bolivarian National Police Corps. (CPNB).
