On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, Foreign Minister Yván Gil is in the Plurinational State of Bolivia in order to participate in the commemorative events of the Bicentennial of the Foundation of the Republic.
«It is an honor to accompany President Luis Arce and the other distinguished Bolivian authorities in this solemn session that commemorates the bicentennial of the emancipation of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. Venezuela reiterates its firm commitment to friendship and unity between our peoples, based on the sovereignty that we have built over these two centuries, ”the Venezuelan official said on his Telegram channel.
Foreign Minister Gil delivered the replica of the victorious sword of Carabobo of General Rafael Urdaneta to the president of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce, in commemoration of the Bicentennial of the emancipation of the Bolivian people of Spanish colonialism.
“During this meeting, we reaffirm our commitment to regional friendship and integration, especially with the progress of the Bolivarian Alliance for the peoples of Our America-Treaty of Trade of the Peoples (ALBA-TCP) to consolidate sovereignty, solidarity cooperation and Latin American and Caribbean identity,” he said in Telegram.
It should be noted that last Tuesday night the chancellor announced his arrival in Bolivia.
“It is an honor to be here, in this nation that is considered the favorite daughter of the Liberator Simón Bolívar,” Gil said.
He added that “we celebrate not only the freedom and sovereignty of Bolivia, but also the historical and supportive ties that unite us as brothers peoples. Together, we reaffirm our commitment to the struggle for justice, peace and well -being of our nations ».
