This Friday, Foreign Minister Yván Gil expressed his condolences to the people of Türkiye and their authorities in the country, on behalf of the Government of President Nicolás Maduro.
In his message, he reiterated the solidarity of the people and the Venezuelan Executive after the devastating earthquake of February 6.
This was announced by Gil, through a message on his Twitter account, which reads “I express my heartfelt condolences to the people of Türkiye, on behalf of the president @NicolasMaduro and the people of Venezuela, reiterating our solidarity in the face of this difficult moment they are experiencing and the deep desire for strength, hope, well-being and speedy recovery.”
The Turkish authorities, who informed about the signature of the Venezuelan foreign minister in the Book of Condolences, appreciate the solidarity of Venezuela.
On its Twitter account, the Turkish embassy published “The Chancellor @yvangil and the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for Europe @frankmirez today signed the Book of Condolences in honor of the people who lost their lives in the earthquakes in Türkiye. We are extremely grateful for the solidarity of the brother country Venezuela”.

The Embassy of Türkiye in Caracas has set up a bank account in bolivars to receive donations, which will be used to support the victims of the powerful earthquake that struck the Turkish city of Antakya and which has already left more than 20,000 dead in that country.
The information was disclosed in a message posted on the embassy’s Twitter account.
