The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, indicated that they have proposed to the US government “a way of dialogue, a way of diplomacy, understanding”, although he accused this country of systematically violating the Charter of the United Nations and constantly threatening them
The Foreign Minister Yván Gil warned this Friday, September 26 that the United States “is preparing an aggression with more force, increasingly with more intensity and increasingly with more lies” about the country. These statements were given during a meeting of the group of friends in defense of the United Nations Charter in New York.
He also said that the Venezuelan people “are prepared to resist and win.” However, he warned that an escalation of the conflict between the US and Venezuela “or a minimum aggression” against the nation will become “a catastrophe” for the entire region because, in his opinion, it represents an attack for the entire Caribbean and Latin America.
In this same sense, the Foreign Minister indicated that they have proposed to the administration of Donald Trump “a way of dialogue, a way of diplomacy, understanding”, although he accused this country of systematically violating the United Nations Charter and constantly threatening them.

For the representative of Venezuela, the US military deployment in the Caribbean, which Trump says is to fight drug trafficking, is a threat of the use of force and said that a “regime change” is really sought.
Minister Gil accused the US president of having “attacked” the United Nations Charter in his speech last Tuesday before the UN General Assembly, which he described as “scandalous.” “It has mocked, in front of the United Nations General Assembly, of each and every one of the norms” established “for 80 years to live in the international community.”
Yván Gil’s call during the third meeting of the group of friends in defense of the UN Charter went to strengthen the unit’s unity to begin “transit an important dynamic in all multilateral forums, in all the United Nations spaces”, as they assure they have done in Geneva, Switzerland, to raise their voice and bring joint actions.
*Journalism in Venezuela is exercised in a hostile environment for the press with dozens of legal instruments arranged for the punishment of the word, especially the laws “against hatred”, “against fascism” and “against blockade.” This content was written taking into consideration the threats and limits that, consequently, have been imposed on the dissemination of information from within the country.
