Chancellor Laura Sarabia presented protocol resignation, after petro request

The Colombian Chancellor, Laura Sarabia, announced this Sunday that she presented her letter of protocol resignation to President Gustavo Petro, After the Head of State asked all his cabinet to resign his positions.

In a message in his X account, Sarabia that has just arrived at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said He put his resignation to consideration, with the purpose that the president can make the decisions he considers most appropriate.

“I have repeatedly expressed that there is no greater privilege or honor to serve the Colombians. With the purpose of making the decisions that I consider most appropriate, I allow myself to present my protocol resignation to President Petro,” says the chancellor’s message.

A few minutes before, President Gustavo Petro requested the protocol resignation of all his ministers and ministers, as well as that of the Directors of Administrative Departments that make up his cabinet in order to make changes that allow the Executive to concentrate on the fulfillment of the program of government.
