The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmer Schialerassured that the administrator of the University Sports ClubJean Ferrari, will not be removed from office.
This statement comes after the sports leader assured yesterday that the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) had made the decision to dismiss him.
However, the Chancellor of the Republic assured that the issue was discussed in the Council of Ministers and affirmed that Ferrari will remain in office.
“The truth is that I heard about this issue yesterday in the Council of Ministers. The Minister of Economy and Finance pointed out exhaustively – and I think he also said it yesterday afternoon – that those are transcended. Mr. Ferrari remains at the head of the Universitario board to get this great team out of the difficult financial situation it is in and to continue giving achievements and satisfaction to Peru,” he told RPP.
As recalled, Minister José Arista revealed yesterday that he spoke with the superintendent of Sunat and pointed out that “there is absolutely nothing real.”
“As far as is known, I have spoken with the superintendent of Sunat and there is absolutely nothing real behind this disclosure of sensitive information. Let him remain calm and continue working for the good of the U,” he assured.
