The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, arrived in Equatorial Guinea to carry out a work agenda in favor of strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Gil, through his account at the social network Telegram, indicated “On behalf of President @NicolasMaduro, we have arrived in Equatorial Guinea with the objective of coordinating the work of the Second Joint Commission, in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation. We thank the Guinean delegation for their kind welcome.”
Cooperation between both countries has emphasized the energy area.
Since the establishment of the Venezuelan Embassy in Equatorial Guinea in 2006, during the mandate of Commander Hugo Chávez, numerous Venezuelans have worked in the oil and gas fields of the African nation. The shared experience in this sector continues to be a fundamental pillar of the agreements between both countries.
Likewise, the two States have previously reaffirmed their commitment to continue promoting agreements and productive exchanges, based on South-South cooperation.
