The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, referred this Tuesday to the culmination of Josep Borrell in the position of high representative of the European Union (EU), and assured that he is leaving “trying to lie” and “complexed by his defeats.”
He pointed out that despite Borrell’s new threats to apply sanctions, Venezuela gave lessons to Europe: “Once again threatening the Venezuelan people to apply sanctions and ignoring our democracy, which gives many lessons to ancient Europe.”
He also stressed: “Let it serve as a lesson. “We are children of Bolívar and the victory for our independence has belonged to us for more than 200 years.”
“Borrell is leaving the EU, after 5 years trying to lie and harm Venezuela, inspired by his old colonialist thinking. Threatening once again the Venezuelan people to apply sanctions and ignoring our democracy, which teaches quite a few lessons to ancient Europe. Failure after failure!… today ends a mandate with more lies about our country, self-conscious about its defeats, the historical ones against the European empire and the recent ones inflicted by the Bolivarian Revolution. Let it serve as a lesson. We are children of Bolívar and the victory for our independence has belonged to us for more than 200 years. “They could not and will not be able to!” says the chancellor’s message.
