Defense opened job calls, for which positions they are and which one pays the most
The department is looking for people for different roles, ranging from kitchen assistant to driver.
The Ministry of Defense has opened six job openings, which will close at the end of September. The ministry is looking to fill several vacancies, ranging from drivers, accounting assistants, service and warehouse assistants, tea and kitchen assistants, public accountants and stove workers.
As for general requirements, the applicant must be a natural or legal citizen of Uruguay, be 18 years old and not older than 60 at the time of registration.
In the case of the opportunity for accounting assistants, the expected salary is $34,760 nominal. Studies in the subject with the corresponding certificates, knowledge of Excel and proof of completion of Basic Secondary Education are required.
In the case of a warehouse assistant, the salary is the same, but in terms of education, the only requirement is that the applicant has completed basic secondary education.
Those who wish to apply for the positions of service assistants, tea makers and kitchen assistants must have the corresponding certificates issued by the Ministry of Public Health, in addition to having the document that accredits their authorization to handle food.
In the case of the driver position, the salary is also $34,760 and the applicant must have completed basic secondary education, in addition to having a professional driver’s license from category B to F.
The position of public accountant is the one that offers the highest salary, with a nominal salary of $57,446. The only requirement is to have a degree issued by the University of the Republic or any institution accredited by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Finally, the portfolio offers positions for firemen, for which $34,760 will be paid and a certificate issued by the Ministry of Industry must be held in addition to complete training at the primary level.
