The Third Criminal Court of Appeals of the National Court of Justice ratified the preliminary detention for ten days issued against the owner of the Sarratea house, Alejandro Sánchez; former officials Salatiel Marrufo and Auner Vásquez; and businessman Abel Cabrera, all accused of being ‘shadow advisers’ to Peter Castle.
The judges accepted the fiscal thesis that indicates that if those under investigation, accused of dividing up millionaire public works from the Ministry of Housing, remain free, they could escape and obstruct the investigations.
Alejandro Sánchez, for example, has been a fugitive from justice for eight days. Sánchez is accused of being one of the president’s most trusted operators and of irregularly negotiating the delivery of projects in other sectors of the State.
The room reported that Eder Vitón, former adviser to the Government Palace, withdrew his appeal against the measure, whose term expires this Friday.
