The PT filed in the presidency of the House of Representatives a request for precautionary suspension of the mandate and the blockade of the salaries of Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP). The deputy requested license to remove the duties for 120 days. The deadline won this Sunday (20).
The request signed by the party leader in the House, Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ), says Eduardo Bolsonaro was engaged in articulations in the United States, hostile to the Brazilian State, the Constitution and the constituted powers.
“Throughout the license period, its conduct has worsened in a noticeable and public manner: there were numerous statements and actions guided to promote international sanctions against Brazil, especially addressed to the Supreme Court and the authority of its ministers, including celebrating the 50% tariff on Brazilian exports announced by Donald Trump,” says an excerpt from the petition.
The Chamber Regiment states that, once the period of the license is over and the permanence abroad is not communicated to the Presidency, nor the return to the exercise of the mandate, the prohibition is now prohibited to receive salary.

“Considering the termination of the license and the unjustified absence of return to parliamentary activities, it is imperative that the presidency of the Chamber proceeds to the immediate blockade of the payment of Eduardo Bolsonaro’s parliamentary remuneration, pursuant to the Federal Constitution and the internal rules of this House,” says another passage.
Farias also points out that the performance of Bolsonaro’s son motivated the presentation of two representations in the Ethics Council of the House of Representatives, respectively on May 25 and July 11, 2025, requesting the revocation of his parliamentary mandate for violation of decorum, treason to national sovereignty and abuse of constitutional prerogatives. In addition, it was filed, on July 16, 2025, a collective petition to the Chamber table, requiring the application of a precautionary measure of suspension of Eduardo Bolsonaro’s mandate.
