The Chamber of Deputies and Deputies will vote this Friday, from 10:00 am and in a special session, the report of the Mixed Commission on the project of the fourth withdrawal of pension savings and the second advance of life annuities.
After the President Sebastian Piñera Should immediate discussion enter the initiative – repeating the strategy applied in September – the parliamentary committees agreed to vote on the project this Friday.
The opposition has expressed concern, fearing that the initiative will be rejected in the Lower House. And the thing is that 93 votes are needed for it to be approved, and at least three pro-government deputies who had voted in favor of the project will not be: Alvaro Carter (UDI), for personal reasons, Pablo Prieto (UDI) for being out of the country, and Alejandro Santana (RN) for the same reasons.
In the opposition, the deputies Gabriel boric (CS) and Giorgio jackson (RD) requested leave without pay for campaign activities ahead of the second presidential round.
However, Congressman Jackson had indicated that “if there is a vote that requires a quorum, of course we will be analyzing it on a case-by-case basis.”
Let us remember that the Mixed Commission yesterday dispatched the project for the fourth withdrawal. In the instance, it was agreed that both Chambers will vote as a whole and without separate votes and that there will be no “lock”, that is, new withdrawals of pension savings may be proposed.
It was also agreed that there will be no taxes and if the withdrawal exceeds 35 UF, it will be paid in two installments. Likewise, a second advance of annuities was included.
