The Chamber of Deputies approved this Wednesday (30) a bill that allows charitable social assistance entities to raise money through capitalization bonds, if they are certified in accordance with current legislation. The matter will be sent to presidential approval.
According to the text, the purchaser of a capitalization bond may assign the right of redemption to these charities. If you do not agree with the assignment of the right, you must inform the capitalization company responsible for the security until the day before the first draw takes place.
Capitalization is an instrument by which the consumer pays a certain amount for the constitution of capital. Part of the amount paid monthly goes to sweepstakes and, at the end of the term, the holder can redeem part or all of the capital or purchase goods or products.

According to the proposal, to carry out these draws, own means or results of lotteries authorized by the government must be used. The results and the winners must be published in the same media used to publicize the products of the fundraising campaign through the titles.
The funds obtained in these campaigns must be used exclusively in the activities of the charitable entity of social assistance, but the use of part of them for expenses with the dissemination and promotion of the campaigns will be allowed.
The money placed in the security and which can be redeemed is updated by the TR plus an interest rate equal to a minimum of 20% of the monthly interest rate applied to the savings account.
