The Chamber of Deputies approved this Thursday (1st) a bill (PL) that extends the possibility of deducting from the Income Tax (IR) donations made to two assistance programs for cancer patients and people with disabilities. The text goes to presidential sanction.
According to the approved proposal, individuals will be able to deduct from their income tax donations and sponsorships made up to the calendar year 2025. In the case of legal entities, the deduction can be made up to the calendar year 2026. all taxpayers is 1% of the income tax owed.
The funds will be allocated to the National Support Program for Oncology Care (Pronon) and the National Support Program for Health Care for Persons with Disabilities (Pronas/PCD).
The two programs received resources from individuals until 2020 and from legal entities until 2021. Pronon and Pronas/PCD were developed to encourage actions and services developed by non-profit entities, associations and private foundations that work in the field of oncology and people with disabilities.
The measure seeks to expand the offer of services and expand the provision of medical care services, support the training of human resources and carry out clinical and epidemiological research.
