The MP ends the need for compensation of the RGPS Fund by the Union due to the exemption of the payroll. The bill goes to the Senate for review.
According to the government, the amounts that are transferred to Social Security by the National Treasury to cover the deficit are higher than the compensation for the payroll tax exemption.
According to data presented by the Ministry of Labor and Pensions, the Social Security deficit stood at R$ 259.1 billion in 2020, even with the revenue of R$ 9.4 billion from the payroll exemption, while other waivers do not need to be officially announced. compensated within the budget.
