The Chamber of Deputies approved this Thursday (12) the Legislative Decree Project (PDL) 159/2022, which provides for the end of the collection of the additional fee for roaming between Mercosur countries. The text goes to the Senate for analysis.
The proposal was presented by the Brazilian representation in the Mercosur Parliament, approving the text of the Agreement for the Elimination of Charging International Roaming Charges to Mercosur End Users, signed by the bloc’s States Parties on July 17, 2019.
The objective, according to the opinion of deputy Orlando Silva (PCdoB-SP), presented at the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) of the Chamber, is to allow cell phone users in transit in the bloc’s nations to be charged according to the plan contracted in their country. country of origin, without additional charges.
The initiative applies to both voice and data communication during transit between the bloc’s countries (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay). It applies to both the user’s country of origin and the country in which they are located.
Ikebana
Deputies also approved Bill (PL) 7310/2006, which establishes Ikebana-Sanguetsu Day, on the national calendar. Ikebana-Sanguetsu Day will be celebrated annually on September 23rd. The objective is to spread and celebrate the culture of floral arrangements, as elements of harmonization and beautification of environments and coexistence. The matter goes to presidential sanction.
