The Chamber of Deputies approved, in the early hours of this Thursday (24), the basic text of the bill that legalizes gambling in Brazil. There were 246 votes in favor and 202 against. The project legalizes games such as in casinos, bingos, animal games and online, through licenses on a permanent basis or for a determined period.
After the vote, the session was closed. The highlights of the text should be voted on, in a session scheduled for this Thursday (24), in the plenary of the House. The highlights presented by the parties is an attempt to make changes in the opinion of Deputy Felipe Carreras (PSB-PE) for Bill 442/91.
The approved text provides, among other measures, that casinos can be installed in resorts, ships and cities classified as poles or tourist destinations. In the case of bingos, the text allows its permanent exploitation only in bingo houses.
For the animal game, the project requires that all the licensee’s records, whether betting or extraction, be computerized and with the possibility of access in real time (online) by the Union, through the Audit and Control System ( SAC).
