About a million Chaco people will elect 4 national and 16 provincial deputies.

Chaco people will have to choose four national and 16 provincial deputies on Sunday in elections where the official coalition Frente de Todos (FdT) will seek to improve the electoral performance it had in the September primaries, in which it was behind Juntos por el Cambio (JxC) by about 50 thousand votes.

According to the electoral justice 967,147 Chaco citizens, which represents 2.82% of the national register, they will be able to emit their votes on Sunday in the 2,851 tables enabled throughout the Province.

In these elections, Chaco will have to renew the seats that will be left in December by the national deputies Juan Mosqueda, Elda Pértile (FDT) and the opposition Alicia Terada and Aída Ayala, who will seek re-election.

The campaign was carried out calmly in these two months and no inconveniences are expected beyond the fact that the page of the National Meteorological Service anticipated that isolated storms with rainfall could arise by Sunday afternoon.

RESULT OF THE STEP

In the September PASO, JxC obtained 250,574 votes while the official FdT added 202,522 votes, with which if this result is repeated, these two forces will distribute two seats of deputies each to renew those that they put into play.

In the dark room there will be five ballots with the national candidates of the FdT, Chaco Cambia + Juntos por el Cambio, Vamos con Vos, Partido del Obrero and the Integrating Front, the only local force that will participate in the federal legislature.

Although the opposition front Chaco Cambia + JxC was the most voted in the PASO of September, today the scenario is somewhat different with a large territorial presence of the official FdT that in less than 15 days managed to install premises in different districts of the province, while the opponents received in recent weeks the visit of JxC referents such as the president of the PRO, Patricia Bullrich, the governor of Jujuy Gerardo Morales and the reelected governor of Corrientes Gustavo Valdés, among others.

In the rest of the forces, the campaign was intense, and not all of them managed to take their proposals to the furthest places from the big cities of this province.

MAIN CANDIDATES OF THE PROVINCE

JUAN MANUEL PEDRINI
The first candidate of the Frente de Todos (FdT) is a notary public who was a Minister, a national legislator and currently occupies a seat in the provincial Chamber of Deputies.

MARÍA LUISA CHOMIAK
The second on the list of the ruling party is the mayor of Charata, a former provincial legislator and recognized leader of the PJ Chaco.

Along with them are presented Fabricio Bolatt, mayor in Resistencia, and Maria Silvana Cabrera, president of the Deliberative Council in the city of San Martín.

JUAN CARLOS POLINI
The radical mayor of Du Graty heads the opposition Chaco Cambia + Juntos por el Cambio.

MARILÚ QUIROZ
The president of PRO Chaco is second on the list, while Julio Picón is a prominent local doctor who joined Chaco Cambia.

AÍDA AYALA
The national deputy and former mayor of Resistencia closes the list of JxC candidates. She is the only one who will seek her re-election. If he does not renew his mandate, he will lose the privileges, which stopped his detention a few years ago in a federal court case.

JUAN CARLOS BACILEFF IVANOFF
Former vice-governor and ex-deputy, whose proposal of a strong hand against the pickets allowed the Integrating Front to reap a large volume in the PASO. Now you need to at least triple the number of votes to enter Congress.

The other candidates of this party are Mary Gladyz Nuñez, Juan Carlos Sandoval and Laura Josefina Pilagá.

CARLOS MARTÍNEZ
The former provincial deputy is the first candidate of Vamos con Vos. It is practically outside and will seek to add votes to maintain the political space that the Free of the South and socialists share in the Chaco.

CLAUDIO COBAS
Heads the list of the Partido Obrero that is also made up of Susana Sánchez, Eric Ponce and Mara Montenegro.

The Integrating Front hopes to capture votes from various sectors, mainly from voters who are dissatisfied with the two most important forces, but in order to aspire to a seat they will have to multiply the almost 45,000 votes in the primaries.

Another force that would benefit from the reduction of the offers is the Partido Obrero, today the only representative of the left that will compete on Sunday although it was greatly relegated with the more than 12,000 votes of the previous election.

The Vamos con Vos front got even fewer votes, however, the low volume of September did not affect the militants who doubled their efforts to get a good result on Sunday.

After the primaries, the FdT list will be made up of the provincial legislator Juan Manuel Pedrini, the mayor of Charata María Luisa Chomiak, Fabricio Bolatti and María Silvana Cabrera.

The payroll of Chaco Cambia + JxC after the screening of the inmates is made up of the mayor of Coronel Du Gratty, Juan Carlos Polini, the president of the provincial PRO, Marilu Quiroz, Julio Picón and the deputy and former mayor of the capital Aída Ayala.

Lieutenant Governor Juan Carlos Bacileff Ivanoff is the first candidate of the Integrating Front. Also on the list are Mary Gladys Núñez, Juan Carlos Sandoval and Laura Pilagá.

Telam SE

Randazzista Vamos con Vos will compete with former legislator Carlos Martínez, Natalia Romero, Ramón Cuenca and Sonia Cardozo.

The Workers’ Party will participate with the social leader Claudio Ignacio Cobas, Susana Sánchez, Eric Ponce and Mara Candela Montenegro.

Security during the elections will be in the hands of about 2,500 national troops and at least 1,500 other Chaco police officers who will support federal agents.
