Duque pointed out that the measure is taken because they want to create awareness in Chacao so that traffic violations are not committed.
The mayor of the Chacao Municipality, Gustavo Duque, informed through his social networks that the police officers in that jurisdiction will place large decals on the windshield of those vehicles that are committing an infraction as of Monday, May 2.
Duque said that currently the penalties that offenders who commit violations of the law must pay are “ridiculous” -although he did not say how much they were currently at-, for which he stressed that in addition to forcing to pay that tribute, they will put the decal “with extra-strong glue so that he spends a good time trying to remove it and reflecting on his mistake ».
He insisted on the need for Chacao, as in all of Venezuela, to respect and understand the rules established for good coexistence and stressed that the measures they were promoting to avoid this type of behavior have been unsuccessful.

In the Chacao Municipality there are currently towing operations for vehicles that are improperly parked or that are committing an infraction, which are taken to the Traffic headquarters of the jurisdiction in front of the Ciudad Tamanaco Shopping Center. There those sanctioned must pay a fine of $20 to be able to take out their cars again and then pay another amount in bolivars within a maximum period of 45 days.
By 2021, the residents of Chacao were expressing their complaints due to the measure taken by the municipal authorities. These, when towing the vehicle, put it on the ground where it is. In many cases they were not breaking the law.
It should also be remembered that the fines are established based on the tax unit, so with the recent increase in it from Bs 0.02 to Bs 0.4 there will be a substantial increase in penalties.
