Eridania Hernández combines two cultures in a single dish
The covid-19 pandemic not only generated a health crisis, but also an economic one that has brought the global economy to its knees. However, the confinement measures taken by the authorities that prevented citizens from mobilizing caused them to create improvised shops.
And it is there in the comfort of her home that the entrepreneur, Eridania Hernández, begins her Ceviches RD project, a gastronomic proposal that brings the best of Peruvian culture but with a hundred percent Dominican touch.
An idea that, according to her, arose thanks to her mother, for whom she prepared the dish during the pandemic.
“The idea was given to me by my mother. When I prepared the ceviche for him, he told me that I should consider the possibility of setting up a business to market the dish and it was just at that moment that I realized the importance, I analyzed the proposal and did everything to make it a reality,” he tells elCaribe.
The marketer by profession assures that the acceptance of the clients has been impressive and attributes it to the freshness of her ingredients and the passion she feels for her work.
Hernández, who has been in the market for two years and four months, assures that the quality of its products and the personalized service of Ceviches RD have been key to the success of the project.
“My business is an innovative project. It was a great surprise to me that our country consumed a dish that is not part of our culture in such high demand,” she says proudly.
The also expert in social networks explained that the name of Ceviches RD arose from the desire to take its products to every corner of the country.
The culinary offer has services from traditional ceviche to combination with tropical fruits such as mango and passion fruit. With prices ranging between 650 to 1000 pesos.

In addition to Ceviches RD, Hernández provides sales advice to new entrepreneurs who want to boost their brands.
“I advise merchants so that they have solid marches, from the creation of online business profiles to the composition of their website and social networks,” he says.
Cost effectiveness
When asked about the profitability of her initiative, she states that her economic growth has been substantial.
“Inflation hasn’t helped me much, but there has been a big change in my income,” he says.
Family
With a smile on her lips, the young entrepreneur affirms that her father Rafael Hernández and her mother Anania Ureña have been her support in this adventure.
He says that together with his parents, his brother Yoel helps him in the distribution of his dishes in all the provinces of the country, through the ceviche route.
“My parents are the engine of my life. They have supported me since day zero and continue to do so. My brother, my partner and investor, always accompanies me on visits to the towns on what we call the ceviche route,” he relates.
Advice
He advised all the people who dream of having a business to keep fighting to make the project a reality, indicating that to undertake the first thing they need is to believe in God and then in themselves.
“Fear will not take you where you dream. In life, everything is possible and more so when you do not let yourself be won over by fear or give up when situations get difficult for you, ”she emphasizes.
He assures that, although the beginnings are not easy, it will always be worth launching.
Eridania asks new entrepreneurs to focus and never lose faith.
