Cetes Directo, the platform launched in 2010 where investments can be made in government bonds such as Cetes, Udibonos, Bondes, Bondes F and IPAB bonds, registered 365,695 new contracts last year, which meant a growth of 78% compared to with 2021.
So far in 2023, interest continues to grow and 51,400 new contracts have been registered on the platform.
The historical growths also occurred in the amounts: 62,734 million pesos in 2022, 112% more than in the previous year.
Those most interested in these safe instruments are young people between the ages of 26 and 35, who have 40% of the accounts in Cetes Directo.
Then, people between 36 and 45 years old are the ones who have 24% of the total accounts and young people between 18 and 25 years old have 13% of the accounts.
The gender gap can also be observed in this type of investment: last year 64% of users were men while only 36% were women’s accounts.
