Santo Domingo, DR.- The Specialized Corps for Land Border Security (CESFronT) carried out a floral offering in it Altar of the Fatherland and various masses at the different bases of operations for the celebration of their 18th anniversary.
The director of this institution, which is in charge of guaranteeing the security and sovereignty of the country, Brigadier General Freddy Rafael Soto Thormann, called on the soldiers who are at the different border points not to succumb to the perfidious charms of those who dishonor the homeland.
While Colonel Amaurys Guerrero, administrative deputy director, stated during the floral offering that in these years the CESFronT has faced significant challenges and achieved great advances thanks to the dedication and bravery of each of the soldiers.
They invited the members of this institution to renew their commitment and to continue moving forward with the same passion and determination that has characterized them in recent years.
Likewise, at the operating bases and at the training school, patriotic acts and masses, activities attended by civil and military authorities from each province where CESFronT is located.
The Specialized Corps for Land Border Security is a dependency of the Ministry of Defense, It was created by decree 325 of August 8, 2006.
Decree 323 of July 3, 2007 assigns the responsibility of ensuring the permanence of a specialized security and control device in the formal entry and exit points on the Dominican-Haitian land border; also establish patrols and complementary checkpoints in the areas assigned to it throughout the border strip.
