The University Council of the Cesar Vallejo University decided to designate an investigative commission to evaluate the president’s master’s thesis of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, and the first lady, Lilia Paredesafter a “Panorama” report denounced that said academic work would have up to a 54% plagiarized content.
Through a statement, the educational institution indicated that once the results of the evaluation are obtained, they will adopt the necessary corrective measures.

“Given the facts reported in the media about the master’s thesis of Messrs. José Pedro Castillo Terrones and Lilia Ulcida Paredes Navarro, the University Council of the César Vallejo University, in its ordinary session on May 2, 2022, agreed designate a commission to evaluate the aforementioned research work. With the results obtained, the corresponding actions will be adopted”, reads the letter.

The “Panorama” program revealed that the thesis prepared jointly by the presidential couple, Pedro Castillo and Lilia Paredes, to obtain a master’s degree showed 54% plagiarized content after analysis by the Turnitin software. In addition, in the journalistic report it was detailed that the theoretical framework, of 26 pages, was copied in its entirety from national and foreign authors.

Likewise, the 121-page thesis, entitled “Gender equity and significant learning in the area of social personnel in the students of the IV cycle of the educational institution No. 10465 Puña-Tacabamba-Chota”, was validated by three professionals from the which two do not exist.
