With an investment of 2,300 million pesos, the creation of 800 direct jobs, once the project is completed and the generation of hundreds more in the initial stage, the work of the distribution center of the company César Iglesias was started yesterday, in an act headed by President Luis Abinader.
For the residents of the area, the construction of this first stage will have a very positive impact, since the community will benefit from the creation of these 800 direct jobs, once the project is completed and more than 200 direct jobs will be generated in the stage. initial.
With the total estimated investment of 2.3 billion pesos, the work will boost the economy, improve access roads, electrical services and strengthen security in the area.
When pronouncing the central words of the activity, the president of the executive committee of César Iglesias, Miguel Feris, expressed that this new project means opening a new chapter in a history that does not end, the history of the company and a country of people brave and enterprising, of a company that produces with the quality of people who progress.

Referring to the value of work, Feris said that there are those who put the weight of their family on their backs and start businesses or emigrate, thousands of grocers, bakers, barbers and immigrants have done so.
He remembered with longing that when he was a young man and recently graduated, his father asked him to buy and install a production line that cost a fortune, and taking his instincts and the advice of a few, he did it, but also trusting in his ability to choose. .
Feris maintained that with confidence and pleasure, thanks to the support of his uncle César Norberto and his cousins, he was able with the weight of his legacy, in addition to the responsibility on his thousands of collaborators, family members and millions of clients, also, to take this step and stomp hard and fearless.
During the event an audiovisual was projected on the beginnings of the company and the hard work that César Iglesias has done with dedication, strength and effort during all these years in the company.

Distribution center design details
The design of the new distribution center is the brainchild of the German multinational Mieabach in its first stage. It will have a total of 19,000 square meters and about 17,800 “pallet positions” whose sum results in 35,600 “pallet positions”.
In addition, each warehouse in the center will be equipped with VNA-type storage techniques and a “radio shuttle” section for products that need to preserve safety inventories and at the same time have high turnover.
Six ships when the second stage of the work is
For the second stage of the work, the construction of six traditional warehouses of 12,000 square kilometers each will be added and once the project is finished, the park will have a useful storage capacity that will exceed 92,000 square meters. Currently, César Iglesias has 23 factories and six logistics centers distributed in various points such as Santo Domingo, La Vega, Puerto Plata, Azua, Nagua and San Pedro de Macorís.
