César Farías summoned Marcelo Martins for the match in La Paz against Brazil

Marcelo Martins was summoned at the last minute by César Farías, coach of the national team. The national attacker from Cerro Porteño of Paraguay was not on the list of 33 players that he made known at the beginning of the week the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF) for the double date of the Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.

Like Martins, goalkeeper Carlos Lampe (Velez Sarsfield from Argentina), Alejandro Chumacero (Always Ready) and Juan Carlos Arce (Always Ready), players who are over 30 years old.

Martin’s, World Cup top scorer with 10 goalswill not be able to play against Colombia (March 24) because he is suspended one date for being at the limit in yellow cards, but he will be able to face Brazil, in La Paz, on March 29, on the last date of this qualifying stage for the World Cup.

After the dispute of 16 dates of the Qualifiers, Bolivia is in eighth place in the standings with 15 points. The leader is Brazil with 39, followed by Argentina, with 35. Both teams are already qualified for the World Cup.

Bolivia, Paraguay and Venezuela they no longer have a chance of qualifying.
