Antauro Humala begins a tour in the south of the country, which will have as its central point Andahuaylas in Apurimac, where in 2005 he unleashed the revolt that claimed the lives of four policemen and two civilians.
The reservists, followers of Antauro, also point out that their leader will be from September 17 in Fist and will cover the entire altiplanic region.
For him political analyst, historian and university professor, César Belan, Antauro Humala will capitalize the entire electorate of Free Peru, party for which Pedro Castillo Terrones reached the presidency of the Republic. During the week, Humala offered a conference to the foreign press in which he assured that he will do everything possible to become president through elections.
“He is launching himself (for the presidency), to do something that will come in handy for him, which is to capitalize on the entire electorate of Peru Libre de Castillo, of what could have been the entire project of the party , the magisterial”, he referred in an interview with LR Noticias Puno.
Belan considers high the possibility that the brother of Ollanta Humala succeed in its political purpose because the country, at this moment, is in a moment of total exacerbation and polarization; and if he comes to someone and he “echoes a pitched speech of total antagonism and wants to present himself as the leader who is going to put up a heavy hand (…), he is going to be very successful,” he said.
The release of Antauro Humala, which took place last August, in Belan’s opinion, shows that the Castillo government wanted to take it as a strategy to create a storm parallel to the one the head of state is already experiencing due to his multiple investigations into the prosecution.
