The president of the Alliance for Progress party (APP), Cesar Acunaaffirmed that removing the title from President Pedro Castillo or not does not depend on the César Vallejo University, but on the Judiciary.
During the presentation of candidates to the region of La Libertad for the regional and municipal elections, Acuña Peralta indicated that the National Superintendence of Higher University Education had already been informed of this case (Sunedu).
“Regarding Castillo’s thesis, Sunedu and the Judiciary have already been informed, the final position of whether or not to take Mr. Castillo’s degree does not depend on the university because 2 years have passed, but will depend on the Judiciary.”Acuna said.
It should be noted that days ago the program ‘Sin Media Tintas’ presented a document that the César Vallejo University (UCV) sent to the Sunedu in which he admits the existence of similarities in the text of the master’s thesis that Castillo Terrones carried out together with the first lady, Lilia Paredes.
In the document, the UCV detailed that the academic work was submitted to the Turnitin software and, after analysis, it was found that the introduction has a 54% of similarities without exclusions and 0% with exclusions, while the research problem has 52% without exclusions and 38% with them.
Finally, it was shown that the theoretical framework of the research with which the head of state and his wife obtained their master’s degree has a 96% similarities without exclusions and 86% similarities with exclusions.
Together with this information, the educational institution founded by Cesar Acuna He explained that he has had this software since March 2016. For this reason, they imply that he could not validate the president’s work, which was presented in 2012.
