Continuing with the round of dialogue called by the president Dina Boluartetoday the leader of the leadership of the Alliance for Progress (APP) headed by its leader arrived at the Government Palace Cesar Acuna Peralta.
Upon leaving the meeting, the also regional governor of La Libertad reiterated his support for the early elections and pointed out that it is Congress that has the responsibility to make a decision on the matter.
”If Congress does not approve the early elections, it has the responsibility to support the governability of the country. I call on the 130 congressmen to listen to the voice of the people. More than 80% of the population asks for an early election,” Acuña said.

He pointed out that the meeting with Dina Boluarte, in which the Minister of Justice, José Tello, and the Foreign Minister Ana María Gervasi also participated, has been very important. “We have to look to the future and the future means economic stability, political stability and social stability. In this sense, I believe that national leaders have a moral obligation to support the government because after all the great beneficiaries are the millions of Peruvians”, he stated.
He also ruled on the interference in internal affairs of Peru by the presidents of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, and Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
“It is unfortunate that a president wants to intervene in political decisions of the Peruvian State. I call on Petro to dedicate himself to governing his country, to focus on his country, equal to the president of Mexico. In this sense, we reject the interventions of two presidents who are really politicizing the issues of the Peruvian State, ”he added.
