Julio César Mejía, the lawyer of Captain Junior Izquierdo, known as ‘Culebra’, informed Perú21 that the procedure was carried out to extract the information from one of his client’s cell phones.
The procedure was scheduled to take place last Monday, but was suspended for this morning.
This is because the lawyers of the other eight investigated in the case involving the Minister of the Interior, Juan José Santiváñez, in the escape of Vladimir Cerrón were not notified.
Mejía pointed out that all the information from ‘Culebra”s cell phone was downloaded, in which there are text conversations between ‘Culebra’ and Minister Santiváñez, between May and June of this year.
“It is new information, new facts that deserve to be investigated,” he said.
These would be conversations that revolve around their meeting at a chifa in the capital, held on May 21, in which ‘Culebra’ recorded the dialogue between them.
These conversations could have messages that confirm what was said by ‘Culebra’, in the Congressional Oversight Commission, in which he indicated that Santiváñez told him that Cerrón was transported in the presidential vehicle – ‘Cofre’ or ‘Dinamóvil’ – heading to Pisco.
The commission’s hypothesis is that the leader of Peru Libre would have been taken, between February 24 and 27, in the presidential vehicle to the Pisco airport, to travel on a small plane to Bolivia, Venezuela or Cuba.
This, after having been hidden in the south of Lima, in condominiums in Asia, as this medium revealed.
RECORDING EXPERTISE HEARING POSTPONED
On the other hand, on Tuesday the 15th, at 11:30 am, there will be the new hearing of the expert opinion of the recording that Captain Junior Izquierdo, ‘Culebra’, made of the Minister of the Interior, Juan José Santiváñez, in a chifa in the capital, the Last May 21, in which they discussed details of the escape of the leader of Peru Libre, Vladimir Cerrón, in the presidential vehicle.
Peru21 was able to find out that the hearing was going to take place today, but it was postponed due to work overload of the supreme court of preparatory investigation.
