The National Prosecutor, Juan Carlos Villena, initiated an investigation against President Dina Boluarte, for the ‘Dinamóvil’ case. This revolves around the fact that the president’s vehicle would have been used so that, last February, the fugitive leader of Peru Libre was transferred to the Pisco airport in Ica and could escape from the country.

The head of state’s lawyer, Juan Carlos Portugal, assured Perú21 that the tax provision was issued against the president for the alleged crime of personal concealment.
Portugal told Peru21 that the investigation began last Wednesday, and they were notified that day; and he specified that today he went to the Public Ministry.
“Yesterday (Wednesday) they notified us of the disposition (of the beginning of the investigation), and today we appeared (at the Public Ministry),” the president’s lawyer told this newspaper.
