A total uproar. Thousands of local and national tourists celebrated Pisco Sour Day in the first festival that pays homage to the national drink, the same one that took place in the district of Cerro Azul, in the province of Cañete.

The First Pisco Sour Festival – Cerro Azul 2023, organized by the Municipal Government of Cerro Azul, through the Economic Development, Tourism and Employment Promotion Management, allowed visitors to taste the flagship drink and enjoy Cañeto cuisine.

At the opening of the event, Afro-Peruvian sailor dances, paso horse and other artistic shows were presented that were celebrated by tourists.

For his part, the mayor of Cerro Azul, José Pain García, expressed his joy for the great turnout that the festival has had, where awards were also given to bartenders and owners of renowned wineries in the area, who today continue at the Festival del Pisco Sour that takes place in the Plaza de Armas ‘Óscar Chocano’.

Yesterday the hoisting ceremony was also held in the ‘Óscar Chocano’ Plaza de Armas, where a toast was given with pisco sour, recognizing its historical and national value, and at the end of the civic act, the work of psychologists and therapy specialists was recognized. physical and language, who participated in the mental health campaign for the benefit of the citizens of Cerro Azul.
