Ceplan will implement a tool to measure progress and close gaps

In the first half of the year, the National Center for Strategic Planning () will implement dashboards with speedometers and traffic lights that will allow regional, local and district authorities to build governability and governance based on the good indicators that can be seen in this measurement instrument.

This tool will have a monthly measurement system to review the progress and level of compliance with the objectives, with which the authorities will be able to direct the territorial development of their jurisdiction and in this way qualify if the expense has had a concrete result in the citizenship. .

The head of Ceplan, Giofianni Peirano, expressed his desire to strengthen the work between the public sector, the private sector and academia with the aim of directing efforts in a single direction. In addition, he highlighted the importance of the Strategic National Development Plan (PEDN), the only one in the Latin American region that has a Vision for 2050 and that includes science, technology and industrialization among its main national objectives, which will serve as a starting point. to update and generate capacities at all levels of government with a view to achieving the full development of the country.

“We cannot grow and close gaps in education and health if we do not industrialize,” he emphasized. In addition, he mentioned that by virtue of public savings, there is the best opportunity to invest in revitalizing production chains.

For his part, the president of the National Industry Society (SNI), Jesús Salazar Nishi, agreed with the head of Ceplan about the great potential and comparative advantages we have in the country.

Likewise, he called for the country to stop being short-sighted and think about the future, in the next 50 years. “That the great works are part of an articulated national plan that leads us together to development,” he mentioned.

Meanwhile, the president of the National Assembly of Regional Governments (ANGR), Rohel Sánchez, expressed his desire to work in a strategic and articulated alliance between State institutions, responsible private companies, civil society and academia with a view to achieving the productive and sustainable development of the regions, focused on the well-being of the people.
