Ceofanb: We congratulate the people for so much peace and so much civility

The Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb) sent on Sunday night “congratulations to the people for so much peace and so much civility” demonstrated in the presidential election called for this July 28, emphasized the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López in a press conference before the media.

“We at Ceofanb would like to extend our condolences today, July 28, 2024, to all the people of Venezuela and to the institutions that have made this beautiful and peaceful day possible, which has brought smiles to the faces of all voters with great expectations who turned out the people at their polling stations,” he said.

The military chief said that it was a perfectly peaceful day, with minor incidents “that there is no point in mentioning. The Plan República was in the most remote places next to the voting tables, the wide deployment and scope of this operation has been undertaken in perfect order and perfect peace.”

He argued that the people have voted for peace and to condemn the criminal sanctions imposed by imperialism and its allies on the Republic of Venezuela. “We can say that the people have risen up with force and force to reject and demand the cessation of criminal sanctions.”

Padrino López celebrated that the opposition extremism abandoned the path of insurrection and violence “and we all folded to harmony, democracy and peace, that is what we see after observing every minute after the closing of the voting centers,” in response to which he underlined the civic attitude of the people, “we can say without fear of being wrong that in the last elections we have never seen so much peace and civility from the people of Venezuela,” he reiterated.

The Minister of Defense also thanked all the institutions, the Public Powers and all those institutions that were in a coordinated manner “to create a mass that gave results that we are already seeing at this time.”

Plan República continues its execution

He explained that the Plan República continues to be implemented, “we are in the post-electoral phase to deliver the technological and non-technical means and the records, and we will permanently monitor the situation throughout the national territory. It must be asserted that the people came out for peace.”

For his part, the Minister of People’s Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Remigio Ceballos, stressed that they will be working until Monday at 12 noon to ensure order and peace after the electoral process. “We will continue patrolling and responding immediately, we are deployed in response to these tiny acts.”

He called on and invited Venezuelans who participated in this full exercise of sovereignty to await the results of the CNE “and move forward.”

Ceballos stressed that “we are working for the peace and happiness of the Venezuelan people. We will continue working with Ceofanb until the electoral process is over.”

Along these lines, the Head of Ceofanb, Domingo Hernández Larez, mentioned that the execution of the plan will be until August 15, in the custody, transfer and safekeeping of the electoral instruments. “We will guard the infrastructures and platforms in all states.”

“We are called to guarantee the internal order of the country and sovereignty in every corner of our beloved Venezuela,” he said. The Ceofanb will guarantee, he added, public order and peace. “We have the post-electoral phase, we are finishing the electoral phase and we are entering the post-electoral phase, which has four parts.”
