A new military operation is taking place in the José Tadeo Monagas municipality (Altagracia de Orituco), Guárico, with a view to dismantling the criminal organization Tren del Llano, according to military sources.
This new deployment is called “Special Operation Pedro Zaraza”, with the participation of 1,500 soldiers commanded by General Jonas Gerardo Pérez Rodríguez, head of the Integral Defense Operational Zone (Zodi) and General Henry Parra, chief of the General Staff.
The previous police-military incursions, called Operation Thunderbolt, were not effective in dismantling the Tren del Llano’s top brass, according to military sources. This deployment took place in April 2022 with the presence of 560 officials from the Bolivarian National Police and 230 from the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) of the Bolivarian National Guard, the source explained.
In the first hours, that Thunderball Operation managed to locate the settlements where the negative leaders of the Tren del Llano were hiding. But, presumably, they failed to capture any of them. Instead, they seized loot containing a wad of dollars and weapons of war, the source revealed.
This situation was evaluated at the level of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb), where they decided to launch a new operation.
Currently, the Tren del Llano organization is led by Oscar de Jesús Noguera Hernández, alias Diente, known in the region for his gruesome cold-blooded murders. One of those crimes was committed against his own brother, whom he killed because he allegedly stole a pair of brand-name shoes.
Noguera Hernández lives in a mountainous area of Altagracia de Orituco and is supposedly injured due to the latest military incursions. This subject usually posts videos of himself on social networks where he is seen totally unconcerned with the vicissitudes of someone who is being persecuted by military forces.
The Tren del Llano organization is supported by the vaccine charges in dollars that it applies to the agro-producers of Guárico. He buys weapons from soldiers who steal them from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.
