“For the first time in the history of Tik Tok, the CEO will be in Peru,” said the ambassador in reference to the participation of the Singaporean businessman.
Shou Zi Chew will participate in the APEC CEO Summit 2024, which will take place in Lima and will bring together world leaders to seek solutions to the urgent problems of the Asia-Pacific region, according to Andina.
The meeting will be held from November 13 to 15, under the presidency of Fernando Zavala, president of the APEC CEO Summit 2024 and CEO of Intercorp.
In addition, Reyes pointed out that the CEO of Tik Tok will participate in the Business Leaders Summit, in which “approximately 1,000 entrepreneurs from the Asia-Pacific region are expected to arrive,” he noted.
Among those confirmed are Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan Chase, and Karan Bhatia, vice president of Google, among other leaders.
“The impact that APEC has on Peru, from the point of view of adequately positioning its foreign policy, in the Asia-Pacific also contributes to the creation of spaces for investment and trade in practice,” Reyes highlighted.
He added that this is because world leaders “are accompanied by a significant number of businessmen.”
Regarding this group, he mentioned that they have their own dynamics within the APEC 2024 Business Summit, whose agenda is “interesting”, which facilitates networking opportunities and development of business routes.
