Mario Alfonso Centellas will appear to testify, as an investigator, this Thursday for the alleged information manipulation carried out on the former secretary of Tax Administration (SAT), which benefited some taxpayers with a million-dollar reduction in debt.
Prosecutor Alberto Zeballos reported that the former Secretary of Tax Administration was summoned to give his testimony, in the company of his defense lawyer, on Thursday, October 10, at 2:00 p.m.
Lawyer Yimmy Montaño, who defends Centellas, indicated that your client will appear to testify before the Prosecutor’s Office, with the purpose of helping with the investigations that are being carried out due to the alleged acts of computer manipulation.
Montaño said that his client will present exculpatory documentation to defend his innocence and rejected the complaint for computer manipulation and other criminal offenses, presented by councilor Lola Terrazas.
For his part, Terrazas points out that the former municipal director led a network of extortion within the defunct SAT and benefited with large sums of money, but left great economic losses to the Santa Cruz Mayor’s Office.
According to the councilor’s complaint, citizen Marcelo PR benefited from the reduction of a tax debt from Bs. 3,330,000 to Bs 65,000.
Terrazas assures that this taxpayer He did not pay even 2% of the total debt, Therefore, he described this fact as “serious and harmful manipulation for municipal coffers.”
