CENSSA maintains international quality certification

Hoy Paraguay

With this certification, the processes and good practices carried out by the National Center for Blood Services (CENSSA) are guaranteed, from obtaining the donor’s blood to the blood available for transfusion.

After completing a new maintenance audit, carried out by the SGS certifying agency, CENSSA qualifies to remain certified under the ISO 9001:2015 Standards, as a recognition of the quality of the products and services it provides to citizens.

This is the most recognized International Quality Management standard in the world.

With it, the processes and traceability of the activities carried out by CENSSA are guaranteed, d

From donor care, blood collection and processing, to having blood components available for transfusion, in a timely manner and under controlled conditions, for the entire Paraguayan population.

CENSSA maintains international quality certification

The ISO 9001:2015 Standard is applicable to any type of organization in any sector or activity.

In this case, it helps demonstrate CENSSA’s ability to obtain products that meet user expectations and the requirements of the Standard.

This achievement was achieved for the first time in 2020, after the entire human, technical and administrative team has directed its actions to meet the growing demand for quality care in blood banks, whose products must be fully safe.

In this way, the commitment of the blood bank is reaffirmed in all the processes it carries out.

To date, it is known that the only way to obtain safe blood and blood components is through voluntary and altruistic donation, accompanied by a quality management system, from blood collection to patient transfusion.
