Santiago.- The Mirabal Sisters Feminist Movement celebrated this Saturday in Santiago an act for the 44th anniversary of the institution at the headquarters of the Provincial Government, where they reaffirmed their social commitment to the populations that suffer the most from inequities and lack of justice.
The militants of the Mirabal Sisters Feminist Movement continue to train and sensitize the population in the mission that women from vulnerable sectors, mothers, workers, merchants, housewives, are educated and supported in the eradication of inequalities between men and women. .
“During this path we have come across receptive young people to dispose of their energy in favor of the cause that we have defended for 44 years. This relief will allow us to continue the fight, in addition to educating future generations in equality,” said Raquel Rivera, spokeswoman for the movement.
In addition, Rivera expressed that the movement extends its struggles to reach those who make decisions, “those who can prevent another woman from losing her life at the hands of her partner, who with a vote can prevent the suffering of a suffering pregnant woman or a girl victim of incest We want to reach them, so that when they act, they do so knowing the realities that are lived outside their privileges”.
