The INE had requested for the next year 24 thousand 696.9 million pesos. However, Morena and her allies endorsed a cut of 4 thousand 475 million pesos in the budget requested by the electoral body. With the reduction applied, it will have 20 thousand 221.4 million pesos, a figure higher than that approved for this year (19 thousand 736.6 million).
In social networks, Mier pointed out that after endorsing next year’s spending, “at Morena we sleep with a clear conscience, we approved a responsible, balanced budget for the people.

For his part, the PAN deputy Héctor Saúl Téllez Hernández insisted that the factions of the ruling party in the Chamber of Deputies turned their backs on the people, which they claim to defend, by rejecting the proposals to reallocate resources for the benefit of citizens. They approved the 2023 Federation Expenditure Budget in an irresponsible and servile manner as provided by the President of the Republic, who prioritizes mega-projects and patronage spending over health, investment and security, he said.
