Part of the roof of the Children’s Emergency Room in Itapevi, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, collapsed this afternoon (17) and left three people injured. Five teams from the Fire Department were sent to attend to the occurrence.
According to the Fire Department, a 38-year-old woman suffered crushing of her left leg, but is conscious. In addition to her, two other people were seriously injured.
According to the city hall of Itapevi, a tile gave way and fell inside PS, which is municipal. The health unit was vacated and banned.
“By determination of the municipal administration, the space that was undergoing renovation in the electrical part, painting and modifications was vacated and interdicted until an inspection is carried out on the site”, said the city hall in a note.
The municipal administration also said that it will analyze whether the unit will be reactivated or not. According to the city hall, all calls will be transferred to the city’s Central Emergency Room.
