Ceará is out of the search for the title of the Ceará Championship, as it was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the competition after being overcome by 4 to 3 by Iguatu in the penalty shootout, this Saturday (26) at the Morenão stadium.
Vozão even started this Saturday’s match with an advantage, as they won the first leg by 2 to 1, last Tuesday (22) at Castelão. That way, you could advance even with a tie.
However, Iguatu managed to win by 1 to 0 in the 90 minutes thanks to a goal by Otacílio and forced the dispute on the lime mark. On penalties, the home team had the brilliance of goalkeeper Léo, who saved Vina and Gabriel Lacerda’s kicks, and closed the dispute by 4 to 3.
In the semifinals of the Ceará Championship, Azulão faces Caucaia.
