The minor’s father told officers that while they were driving on the road, a tree fell on them and inside it were his 38-year-old wife and his one-year-old son.
Personnel from the Heroic Fire Department and Civil Protection attended the scene, who assisted together with uniformed officers from the SSC in the maneuvers to rescue the minor who was inside the vehicle. After a few minutes and with the appropriate techniques, they freed the child, who was transferred to a nearby hospital for definitive medical attention.
Meanwhile, paramedics confirmed the death of the mother. Authorities cordoned off the area and the corresponding ministerial authority was informed for forensic services.
Firefighters and Civil Protection personnel carried out maneuvers to cut and remove the tree from the vehicle, while officers from the Undersecretariat of Traffic Control carried out traffic work to speed up mobility in the area.
